LocServe was founded in Manchester in the UK in 2012 by Noel McCourt initially as a non-linguistic service provider to the localization industry. That is, services such as engineering, software and website testing, DTP, process development and consultancy. Following the successful development of projects for a number of established LSPs and end-clients, and having strengthened those ongoing relationships, LocServe is meeting a demand and is now a full service localization provider and linguistic services are now also offered.

In November 2018 LocServe announced a partnership with Smartcat – the only UK company to be partnered with the innovative free online CAT tool.
